We recommend after you have had an in-clinic Zoom procedure, that you should use a home teeth whitening kit to keep your teeth looking white.

​

This will work two-fold, firstly it will carry on the whitening process so will take your teeth a few shades whiter.

​

Secondly it will maintain the whiteness of your teeth, so effectively prolonging the life of your Zoom Whitening Treatment.

How Does the Home Kit Work?

The whitening gel formula works by soaking into the teeth and gently lifting stains out of the pores. Teeth are made up of outer enamel followed by softer dentin and then the inner nerve. Nutrients (and stains) pass into the tooth via pores. Teeth have pores just like skin. Over time, stains from food, drink, tobacco and age cause natural yellowing.

Instructions for Home Kit 

Please note that the kit is only to be used in conjunction with the Zoom Laser Treatment and isn’t a ‘standalone’ product.

Remove The Syringe Tip

Remove the breakaway end cap from the tip of the syringe. (save for recapping)

​

Apply Gel To Trays

Apply a “string” of teeth whitening gel (0.5ml) along the front outer surface of the tray, which is the portion that comes in contact with the front of your teeth.

Let The Gel Work

The average person should use the product daily for 1 week, 30 minutes per session post their Zoom laser treatment. Then subsequently top up once a month for maintenance (also for 30 minutes)

Precautions

Remove any gel that comes into contact with gums, immediately with a wet toothbrush

If sensitivity occurs, please discontinue use for few days until it subsides We recommend Sensodyne Pro-Enamel toothpaste post treatment. It contains 5% potassium nitrate, which calms the nerve endings inside the dentine, relieving any sensitivity.

Whitening Gel Ingredients

• Glycerin, 6% Hydrogen Peroxide, Carbomer, Menthol

• Glycerin Thickens and controls the flow of the substance from overextending to the gum tissues.

• Hydrogen Peroxide Fast Acting Oxidizing agent, that penetrates the enamel to break down the stain deposits

• Carbomer Used as a thickening agent and also acts as an emulsion stabilizer, preventing separation of the gel.

• Menthol added for flavour of the gel
